Why life coaching?
Coaching can help you gain insight into areas of your life you need clarity on, perhaps issues that keep coming up over and over again and you struggle to see a way forward. On our own, we can’t always see the things that are holding us back and how we get in our own way. As a life coach I am skilled at asking you questions that can help you see things differently and that help you tune into your deeper truths.
How is coaching different than therapy?
There is some overlap. Coaching focuses on the present and moving you forward to the place you want to go. You can, and will, bump up against beliefs rooted in the past, but coaching works to help you connect with your agency and personal power. As a coach I share tools with you that can help you access your deeper knowing, ideas for developing YOUR next steps, and help you become accountable to yourself and the path you are choosing. Coaching is like physical training for the mind and can help you focus intentionally on the areas you want to make stronger.
How is coaching different than talking to your friends?
I am trained to ask you different questions than a friend would ask you, questions that can get to the heart of the matter. I don’t offer advice or push an agenda. This is what makes a coaching relationship so unique.
How often should we meet? Where will we meet?
I encourage new clients to book a package of 3-5 sessions over the course of two to three months, meeting every other week. Of course I can also do one off sessions if you want to just give it a try or want to work through the specifics of an isolated issue.
I offer appointments over GoogleMeet or Zoom or we can just do them over the phone! If you’re in the Asheville, NC area we can also meet in person if you’d like.
